OUTREACH AND EVANGELISM

New Life strongly believes in ongoing outreach, evangelism, missions and discipleship to the nations of the world. From the local community to the uttermost parts of the world our commitment is to reach people with the love of God through the saving message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jesus commanded us in Mark 16:15 to, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." It is our hearts desire to effectively and efficiently be ambassadors for Christ and ministers of reconciliation to a world filled with darkness. Jesus stated that we are to be the "salt and light" to the world! In our continuing efforts to follow Jesus instructions we have implemented the following outreach and evangelism efforts to fulfill the Great Commandment.

SENIOR OUTREACH 

Every third Saturday of each month New Life members assist the Seniors in the community with various jobs such as home repair, yard work, errands, as well as visitation. This is a cooperative effort between our church and the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department's CARES program. This program was designed to help widows and those who no longer have the mobility they once had. 

PVE-CARES (Palos Verdes Estates Community Assistance and Resources for the Elderly and Seniors). PVE- CARES is a unique program created by our PVE Police Department to assist in “Caring for Those Who Cared for Us.” PVE-CARES offers many resources to help senior residents prepare to stay safe and independent in their own homes.

KINGDOM ADVANCEMENT MINISTRIES (KAM)

This is a weekly training ministry with an emphasis and guide to New Testament Evangelism. We provide training which prepares lay people to become the army of the Lord, well-equipped and able to preach the Gospel and make disciples. In short, its design is to aid in fulfilling The Great Commission to..."Go and tell", The Great Commandment to..."Go and love", and the Great Commitment to..."Go and serve."  

Our KAM battle cry is..."Let's go out and give them heaven!" This weekly "School of Ministry" empowers believers to share their faith and minister in the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Our teams make visitation to first time guests, regular church attendees, conduct 10-Week Bible Studies to new believers, minister healing and evangelize in the local community.

Each visit is designed to reach out to families, present the Gospel and minister to whatever needs are represented in the home. We seek to find a way to include them into the church family through relationships. We discover their interests and share areas in the church life that would be a "fit" for them and their families. We lead them from a place "believing" on the Lord Jesus to "belonging" in a local church family to a place of "becoming" what God has called them to be.  To learn more about KAM go to www.kingdomadvancementministries.org

ANNUAL SERVICES & OUTREACH EVENTS

New Life hosts a variety of special services and events throughout the year. Several of our annual community services and previous guest speakers are listed below:

Good Friday "Sunset Service" located at The South Coast Botanic Gardens. This outdoor service represents our very own "Garden of Gethsemene" setting. Hundreds assemble on a beautiful grassy meadow with elegant flowers and garden displays in abundance. A large and illuminated Cross in the background with the sun setting gives us an opportunity to experience the presence and power of God in a dynamic and fresh way.

Our time in praise and worship is reflective of that special day when Jesus died for our sins and prepares our hearts for a stirring message centered on the victory at Calvary. At the conclusion of this service we serve communion, pray with the new converts, minister healing and have a wonderful time of fellowship.

Easter Sunday is a special time at New Life. Weeks prior to our Easter service our outreach teams are passing out invitations to families, friends and the surrounding neighborhoods. During our Easter service, the children's ministry is overflowing with excitement and fun, and the adults are in full celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. He's alive!

Our Thanksgiving and Christmas Outreach gives us an opportunity to provide Thanksgiving meals and Christmas toys to those less fortunate in our surrounding communities. Each year we adopt families and children endeavoring to make their life a bit more joyful. Complete Turkey meals with all the trimmings and wrapped toys are distributed during the respective holidays.

GUEST SPEAKERS

New Life believes in the five-fold gift ministry and hosts a number of respected Christian leaders from across the nation to complement the local ministry. Such leaders as Dr. Jack Hayford (President of The Int'l Church of the Foursquare Gospel and Founder of The Kings College & Seminary), Dr. Jerry Savelle (Evangelist, Convention Speaker), Dr. Dennis Burke (President of Int'l Convention of Faith Ministers, Evangelist) and many others are regular guests who have shared their wisdom and insights on victorious Christian living.    

MISSIONS 

New Life supports missionaries and ministries that are in many parts of the world through regular prayer and financial offerings.
