PRAISE & WORSHIP

We believe in worshipping the Lord in Spirit and in truth, with all our hearts and with all of the means revealed in the Bible, showing our love with expressive demonstration of thanksgiving, joy and praise. Our praise and worship team consists of a live band, a worship leader, a chorale of singers and of course the congregation. Our "style" of praise and worship is contemporary with an occasional traditional hymn. 

We believe that the praise and worship portion of the service is the most important aspect of our Sunday. At New Life we have discovered that God "inhabits the praises of His people" and that during this time of honoring the Lord He always shows up in wonderful and amazing ways. Our worship time gives us the opportunity to "enter into His courts with praise and into His gates with thanksgivbing."  Each week we have a divine encounter with our Heavenly Father and each week we experience divine results!      

Our Ministry:  “But the hour is coming, and now is, when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”  John 4:23

Our Mission:  First, our praise and worship is to Him, it is for Him, and it is all about Him! Second, our mission is to lead the people into the presence and victory of the Lord through celebrative praise and intimate worship.

Our Method:  Our method is to follow the leading of the Holy Spirits direction. Our primary objective is to attain unity in and through our worship and to truly exalt the Lord our God. 

Typically, the first two or three songs are “high energy praise songs” that are designed to stimulate and motivate the congregation. These songs exalt the Lord and focus on His faithfulness, His power and His victory. These praise songs build our faith and take us from the world to the Word!

The second section of songs are transitional in the sense that we are now moving from high energy praise towards worship. The lyrics of these songs often speak of the nature and attributes of God, His love, His grace and His mercy. Powerful hymns, songs of forgiveness and repentance all prepare our hearts for an entry into the holy of holies.

The third section of songs are worship songs. By worship we mean they are songs that bring us into a place of intimacy where we encounter the Lord. They are songs of reverence, focusing on God’s holiness, His glory and power. From our heart to the heart of the Father…songs of passion, surrender and love to the Lord. They place us in the “inner courts, beyond the veil” in God’s presence.

The fourth section is the spiritual songs. These are new songs that overflow from our hearts. They are songs in the Spirit, and songs in English. Spiritual hymns that flow freely not forcibly from our hearts. These spiritual songs bring unity and release God’s power into our midst. Healing and wholeness flow in this atmosphere.
